Where there is social isolation, there are not only heightened health risks, which is much less of a mystery today than before the COVID-19 pandemic, but our communities are missing out on each person's gifts.
Alex Taylor, the Advocate, met Alex Aernie, the Partner, in a Do For One relationship almost exactly one year ago today. We introduced them out of their shared love for Rock Music. Over this past year, they have attended numerous concerts together, and just a few months ago, they performed live together for the first time at a coffee house.

DO FOR ONE is a relationship-building program that brings isolated people into greater community life. We selectively match one person with developmental disabilities (‘partner’) with another person who enjoys a more socially included life (‘advocate’).
