Program Overview
Lead For One is ultimately a community of moral actors devoted to social change through social matchmaking at a leadership level. This immersive, 20+ hour, four-session “mothership” course lays the foundation of our work together.
This course is demanding both on an intellectual and soul level because our aim is not just to introduce practical tools for relationship building, but to develop a moral imagination, rigor, and courage in our leadership, which is what this work demands of us.
Lead For One offers a pathway for participants to grow alongside others while learning a comprehensive, principle-based framework to address this questions such as “In our broken world, how can we foster a moral imagination - and lead with clarity, integrity, and coherence - to promote and support relationships across societal barriers?”
Lead for One’s body of work can be seen as imagining we are constructing a bridge in four stages, using the Three-Four-Five Blueprint as our guide:
Building a Bridge
Session 1: Laying the Foundation
The pillars of the bridge, rooted in the belief that all people have inherent worth, serve as the foundation for human rights and as the foundation for relationship-building work.
Session 2: Establishing Guiding Principles
The guardrails prevent us from unconsciously slipping into devaluation and marginalization. These guardrails, or principles, keep us focused on building freely given relationships with dignity.
Session 3: Building the Pathway
The roadway is where intentional and thoughtful recruitment and matching of Partners and Advocates take place.
Session 4: Sustaining Relationships and Vision
The suspension provides the long-term support and stability needed to sustain relationships and breathe life into the movement.
