Summer in the Forest

  • Village East Cinema 181-189 2nd Ave. @ 12th St. New York, NY 10003 (map)

On Monday March 26th @ 7:30pm, Hope Church and Do For One has reserved Village East Cinema to enjoy a beautiful film together.

Jean Vanier is a well-known author and philosopher, known for such books as "From Brokenness to Community" and "Becoming Human." He is the founder of L'Arche, a community for people with disabilities, a commune at the edge of a beautiful forest near Paris. A quiet revolution was born and there are now L'Arche communities all over the world.

The film, "Summer in the Forest" explores the life and thought of Jean Vanier and the universal need for love, community, and companionship. I can't recommend a better thought leader in our lifetime to pay attention to more than Jean Vanier! I would LOVE IT if you could make it out to this one-time opportunity.
